Full of adorable local shops in bright colors and an extensive produce market. We highly recommend gettign your produce at one of those stalls in stead of the super market. Not only because of the authentic Curaçao experience, but also because prices tend to be much lower. 

Accross the Penha (store) on the wharf, you can enjoy drinks and Dutch snacks such as frikadel speciaal (not on the menu, but they will make it when asked). They also serve various salads an sandwiches for lunch. 

Built in 1882, this house was part of the quarantine station at Fort Beekenburg. It was used to isolate seafarers potentially suffering from yellow fever. This continued until 1925. Today, the house is in poor condition but still boasts a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea. 

The Gouveneurshuis, once the residence of Governor de Rouvile in Curaçao, now serves as a charming restaurant. The Parliament Building serves as the official venue for the elected Island Council in Curaçao. Local elections are conducted every four years in this self-governing country, which is part of the Dutch Kingdom. As a result, all citizens of Curaçao hold both national and European Union (EU) citizenship. 

Christoffel Park is a stunning natural reserve offering a variety of picturesque hiking trails and a climbing route to its summit. It is advisable to embark on these activities early in the morning to avoid the heat.
